Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Prep

Duration: 6 consecutive weeks

Prerequisite: MINIMUM Intermediate skill level. Instructor approval required.

Gaining proficiency in the 10 Items on the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification test. Skills include Proper (calm) greetings, walking on a leash, Down, Sit, Stay, Coming when called, Reaction to another dog, Reaction to noise and movement distractions...and more.

Test will be administered at the end of the 6 week program (no additional cost).

Classes run for 6 weeks, 1 hr/week, same time/day each week.

One-on-One Personalized Training

One-on-one personalized training can be beneficial for

-Whole family training: parents, multiple children and a puppy or dog’s first training classes

-Dogs who are reactive to strange dogs and need to learn to refocus

-Young dogs/pups who are easily distracted and need to learn attentiveness and how to start filtering out distractions

-Dog parents who want to move at a faster pace with their dog than a multi-dog class allows

Curriculum is customized for your family and your dog’s needs.

Classes are scheduled around your availability. Please call to arrange best day/time for you and your dog or puppy

One - 3 sessions, one hour each - $75/hour

Four - 6 sessions, one hour each - $60/hour

Therapy Dog Prep (Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc)

Therapy Dog Prep class teaches skills including working around wheelchairs, walkers, crutches as well as social interaction with other dogs and people to successfully complete the therapy team handling test. At least one field trip is included. ATD Handling test is administered at the end of classes.
